Spring Pastels Haul!

I'm going on holiday soon *eeep!* so I popped along to the shops to get some summery bits to take away. I absolutely love all of the pastel tones that are around and I bought a few pieces.

This tunic top is from Monsoon, it's a light fabric and it's lower at the back so great for wearing with leggings. I thought I might wear this with my white linen trousers but it might look a bit frumpy, not sure yet haven't tried it out! I'll probably wear this with some blue leggings and a belt to make it a bit more fitted. I originally had my eye on the gorgeous lemon yellow version but my Mum thought it washed me out so I decided to get the minty green and put yellow with it.

Et Voila!
I couldn't resist this cute yellow satchel in Accessorize. I am OBsessed with anything yellow at the moment and although I already have my amazing yellow studded Tabitha bag, this is a completely different style. OMG, have you seen Kim Kardashians yellow Birkin? Dream bag or what?!!

I picked up this scarf in H&M I have seen this print on a couple of things in H&M and I love it but I couldn't pull of the clothing items in the style. I thought I could add the scarf to the bag or just wear it obviously!

Aaahh! I just love all those colours!

I picked out these adorable earrings in Accessorize too, I'd wear these if I wasn't wearing a scarf and since I've just had my hair cut pretty short these are longer that my hair when in my ears so they sparkle nicely and take the attention away from my rather short fringe! No face pics for a couple of weeks!

Finally these amazing bangles from H&M, I just love them stacked and I think the marbled design on the bottom one is gorgeous! They both have a gold edging which will go nicely with my little gold disc necklace that I wear all the time!

I can't wait for the weather to perk up so I can put this outfit together! I'm packing it all up now to take on holiday so hopefully I'll have an outfit of the day for you soon!

Just think of all the gorgeous makeup I can put with it! My fave lipsticks, MAC Ever Hip and Ravishing will look stunning and pastel nails in any shade will be perfect!

All Dressed Up With Nowhere To Go!

So the festive season with soon be upon us and we all start to search for the perfect party dress. I think I've already found mine!

I saw this dress online from Monsoon Fusion but I was keen to try it on first because, although you can't see in the photo, it has some shaping at the hips. I am quite a hippy girl and I was desperately hoping it wouldn't make me look six feet wide and hurrah it didn't!! I had to go up a size as the assistant said that most ladies had been finding it a little tight on the bust, she was right!!

The picture does not do it justice, it has a beautiful shape around the hips and the sleeves have a diagonal sleeve. It also has a chunky zip on the back. When I do get dressed up for a party I'll take a proper picture!!

I had one of those moments in the dressing room where it literally took me two seconds to decide I was buying it! None of that looking at all angles ten times in the mirror, I was in and out in lighting speed!!

I really love most of the Monsoon Fusion range but every so often they produce something that is an absolute must have, I have four or five dresses and tops from them that will be staples in my wardrobe for a long time.

The dress was £65 and you can find it here - link!

I bought some different tights to go with it, obviously black will look fab but I also thought I'd pick out the the mustard colour and the purples.

I purchased the mustard tights from Zara, they are much nicer than the H&M ones I have and as the dress is a little short I thought it would be better to have thicker tights. The Zara tights were £9.99. I also thought some patterned ones would look cool with the dress however I forgot about the length of the dress so I may not be wearing the purple ones! They are still lovely tights, they are from Marks and Spencer and they were £6.

Now who wants to invite me to a party?!

Bootie Call

I arrived back from France to a little box outside my front door! I had ordered these adorable boots about three weeks ago, they went out of stock before my order was posted so I had to wait.

I have always been intrigued by Uggs but they don't really go with my style of dressing however I wanted a pair of cozy little boots that were a bit smarter and these little pixie ones seemed to suit my style.

I ordered them from the Johnny B section from Boden, it's aimed more at teenagers but they have some really cute stuff. They cost £64 but I bought them for £44, I had a 20% off code and a £10 gift voucher, I'm not sure I would have paid full price for them, although they are leather and really well made.

I'll be wearing them with leggings and my ginger coloured cord skirt and bright tights. They can be worn turned up or down and I like either way!

Heres a link!

I've not had a chance to wear them properly yet, only around the house and I think I'm going to love them this winter!

Autumn Aspirations

Autumn Aspirations

I have been out to do a little shopping today, mainly to have a look around the shops at my leisure and have a gander at the new Autumn clothing! I did buy a couple of things in H&M, pictures to follow! I am so into the rust colours and rich fabrics, wool, tweed and chunky knits!

I had to put all my findings together in Polyvore and I am using this as my inspiration for my winter wardrobe! I love summer, I really do but it has suddenly turned a bit chilly and it's so hard not to get swept up in the new seasons fashion when they come into the shops so early!

Most of the clothing in the picture is from Monsoon, as is most of my wardrobe!!

Have you seen anything you have to get for the winter yet?!

Yellow Fever!

This summer I have been drawn to anything yellow, I realise this is not completely a choice made of my own freewill as there are many gorgeous yellow items popping up in the shops this year all coaxing me to buy them, at which they have been successful!

The yellow coloured items in my wardrobe have gone from virtually nothing to five items with two more to come hopefully!

First up my Tabitha handbag!

I know you have all seen it but this has been a pretty major accessory for me in the month that I've had it. I have used it almost every day. I promised myself I wouldn't use it for work but I have been as I just can't put it down!

O.S.P by Osprey purse.

I had my eye on this for a little while but I was waiting for a 10% off weekend, the wait was worth it as it had 20% off in the end! I adore the colour and the lining is beautiful it reminds me of a silk scarf or dress. I love a big purse, I don't like fiddly little ones!

Skinny belt from Accessorize.

I bought this earlier in the year, my first yellow purchase! I wear it with a white tunic and blue leggings, it gives a little bit of colour on an otherwise plain outfit.

Zara scarf.

My most recent yellow item, I bought last week in the Zara sale. I looove it! With just a white t-shirt it looks so summery and fresh, I just bought a plain black H&M maxi dress today and this will be perfect as a cover-up for the evening!

Nails Inc Spitalfields polish.

A previously unloved polish in my collection now has pride of place on my bedside table! I've spoken about it loads but for me it's the perfect shade for my nails. I would like to try a stronger shade but have yet to find one I like!

There are two more items on my yellow wishlist, this skirt from Topshop,

I have only seen it in a magazine and have been in the shop and checking the website daily but I don't think it's in the shops yet, I hope I haven't missed it!

Monsoon Fusion Skirt

In the new section of the website this pleated skirt is hitting two trends! If it's long enough on me I'll be buying this when it gets to the shops, I had a look today and it's not out yet. I think it will amazing with a white t-shirt tucked in, a skinny black belt and my chunky patent black heels. I just love the accent colour around the zip! Shame I couldn't get it before I go on holiday, it would have been great for the evening!

Well I think that's enough yellow for now! Have you added anything yellow to your wardrobe?

Accessorize Haul!

My favourite shop started their sale this weekend, thanks to Giltyxx for tweeting me about it! It went online midweek and hit the shops on Friday.

I had a sneaky look on the website and the necklace I was going to buy anyway had gone into the sale. Result! So off I went to buy it....

I almost bought this earlier in the month for £15, but I didn't get around to it, glad it went in the sale for £7.50! I love wooden accessories in the summer, I have various bangles and earrings in the style but no necklace. I like the longer style of this one and it looks great with a maxi dress.

Well that should be the end of this post....

but of course it isn't and I was drawn in by other lovely items!

These cute earrings were £3, they are a bit lightweight but they co-ordinate nicely with a t-shirt I recently bought!

My favourite item! A long beaded necklace with a gold tassel, something I hadn't noticed in the shop pre-sale but impulse purchased! I actually love this! Again it's nice with the previous earrings and top I mentioned.

Love this too! I stacked this with my plain wooden bangle and long necklace and it looked great with the hint of sparkle! It was £6.

I bought this for the evening on holiday, I have the matching earrings that I bought waaay earlier in the year, maybe February. I wouldn't wear them together but I love the style, this was £7.50.

Finally I bought these today when I went for another quick look! They were £3, I have the pink pair which I wear ALL the time! In fact I have backed them up just in case I ever loose them!!

Loving a barg!

Did you get anything in the sale?!

New Arm Candy!

I am a very lucky girl! My Dad treated me to a new handbag that I have lusted after for ages! I was saving up for it myself but I received a lovely text from him at the weekend telling me it was on its way!!

It arrived today!

It's from a brand I have loved for a while, Tabitha. I have a few of their handbags now and my most used bag is one of theirs, although I can't remember the name of it, I got it in a sale when they used to sell their £300 bags for £50!! They don't do this anymore I might add!

Anyway, it's a gorgeous colour and although some may feel the studs are a little over the top, I love them! I think it will contrast nicely with my more girly fashion style. I was hoping it was going to be a vibrant bright yellow but it's a little more muted but still more interesting to me than a black bag. Which incidentally this style does come in a classic black and grey. Fearne Cotton has been spotted toting the black version.

My Mum was also treated to a new bag which I am seriously coveting! She went for the Tabitha Studded Stardust.

It's so soft and the handles are amazingly comfortable, its not too big or heavy unlike mine which is quite heavy before I've even put anything in it!! I love the more subtle studs, complete opposite to my bold ones!

Since my Mum lives abroad she said I can use her bag until I see her in July! She may have to fight me for it!!

My bag came from spoiledbrat.co.uk and has now gone into the sale, and the green Stardust is from the Tabitha website.

P.S Sorry if you follow me on Twitter, I know I've been banging on about this all weekend!! xx

Shopping Spring Style

I did a little bit of long overdue clothes shopping over the weekend and I thought I share the goodies!

The shops are full of their Spring collections and I am so glad to see some new colours and styles on the racks. I prefer to pre-shop online as I am gradually starting to hate clothes shopping. I rarely like anything I see and often come away with nothing but make-up and accessories because I am confident in my choices in these areas!

One shop I always rely on is Monsoon. I have always loved their style and although the quality and individuality has changed I can still find outfits I love. Plus having a Accessorize next door is always helpful!

OK first up is a dress I saw online and have tried on twice but couldn't make my mind up!

Not the best pic, it looks better on! Its a bit above the knee, perfect with my trusty tan boots and tights for now until the warmer weather kicks in! Its has pockets too! Needs accessorising thought, not sure which way to go, maybe a scarf or a chunky necklace, definitely chunky bangles!

Love, love, love this one! Its a white tunic top with blue leggings. Will look so cool with my gold gladiator sandals and boots for now. Still a little chilly to be wearing this one yet. The necklace is from Accessorize, not usually a fan of this style because of my big boobs the necklace tends to bounce around a bit and draw attention to my chest! I just need to get a skinny belt for the shirt as its a little baggy in the wrong places, I have seen some colourful ones in Accessorize, red or yellow maybe.

This is such a cute blouse from their Fusion range. I adore this collection, I have a few things from it now and I have felt very stylish! Its totally sheer so I will wear it with a white vest underneath. I love the puff sleeves, they are quite big but the material softens the look. I will wear this with a pair of cropped trousers and nude heels when I find the perfect pair of both the trousers and heels!

A cute little pair of dangly earrings. One of about a billion things I could have bought in Accessorize!

As you can tell I am on a blue theme this year! I love navy much more flattering on me than black!

I didn't just shop in Monsoon!

Scarves are a huge obsession of mine. I wear one almost every day. I am so in love with this one from Zara. It has panthers on it! I had first seen it online in pink and fell in love. Since first seeing the pink one they had brought it out in red and it had already sold out online. I couldn't see it in the shop itself so I asked a lovely lady and she found me the last one in the stock room!

I did buy this earlier in the week from Miss Selfridge. I love the style, not sure how to describe it! Its many trends rolled into one, granny, nautical, country and navy! I have no idea how I'll wear it, probably linen trousers and a simple red top when the weather is a bit warmer!

There were some make-up purchases too.

I have been having problems with sensitivity around my eyes in the last couple of weeks. I suddenly had a reaction the Nivea eye make-up remover I have used forever and I had a massive allergic reaction to a mascara which has left me with tired looking dry sore eyes. I had a tester of the Clarins Instant Eye Make-Up Remover and have got on well with it so i purchased the big size.
I also bought the Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener after seeing it on one of the Pretty Powerful campaign posters. I asked the MUA to try it out on me and it made me look much more refreshed. I have it on for the first time today and like it so far! The colour is Bisque.
After many of you suggested lipsticks for me both on here and YT I purchased Snob. I haven't tried it yet, I swatched it against Lady Gaga and was the darker version I was looking for!

FINALLY! Portobello Road from Nails Inc, a whim purchase but I am pleased. I think it'll be lovely colour for summer and pretty with the blouse or white tunic from Monsoon.

Phew, that's it for a while! I need the weather to start getting better before I buy anymore!

Winter Wears

I don't want to keep banging on about it but since losing 5 stone since last winter, my winter wardrobe needs a little updating!

My old black boots no longer fit my calves and look a bit like wellies so I started the mammoth task of finding some new ones!

I thought I'd go with grey boots this year, anything I can wear with black I can wear with grey right? After much research and many web searches and actually saw these in Office on a recent shopping trip. They are called Echo and were £98, not a bad price I felt, most boots I was looking at were over £100.

I also needed a new coat.

I went with this one from Laura Ashley. Its wool and I know it will last all winter. I love duffle coats, sooo cozy and very in right now. One of my lovely readers Claire was asking what my coat looked like after I mentioned it in my post about the purple handbag, so here we are! I don't like black coats, everyone wears one and personally I just prefer to mix my colours! I chose the teal colour because I can wear it with everything in my wardrobe, purple, black, brown, pink, grey etc! I have many colourful scarves that will go with this and hats and gloves!
I still feel I need a slightly smarter coat but I may get one in the sale!

Do you love colour in the winter?

In Love! +

Today I became besotted with two new things,

The Bristol from Modalú.

I saw this bag whilst I was casually flipping through Look magazine. I wondered if it came in grey so hot stepped it down the the handbag department in John Lewis to find it.
No grey, but the purple was so vibrant I was instantly drawn towards it. I have a pair of leather gloves in this colour that contrast beautifully against my new winter coat that is a teal shade, and my favoured winter scarf is pink. I just love this combo of colours.
I'm pretty sure this will be a pay day purchase!

I tasted my first Hazelnut Latte today and it was deelish! I am only a social coffee drinker, I do not need it to get started in the morning or as a pick me up in the afternoon, however I do enjoy a flavoured coffee every so often, Starbucks is usually my venue of choice but Costa have an amazing Gingerbread Latte too!
I'm sure the delight that was the Grande Hazelnut Latte I experienced today will be the first of many this winter :)

What are your new favourite things?

A Handbag Headache!

With the weather having suddenly changed and being thrown into winter clothing I am finding many of my bags are a bit summery and have been cruising the web looking for an interim bag until I can buy my coveted satchel bag for the rest of winter!

I have spotted a few but I am so indecisive, let me know what you think!

I love this bag from Ollie and Nic, its a small satchel bag and is leather, I love the tooled design on the bag. I feel like it would be a classic bag I could use for a long time.
They also have it in teal
I am drawn to this one initially but I feel like the honey coloured one will go better with my teal and red coats. The best part is that they are half price from £70 to £35!
I love this ditsy print doctors bag from River Island, its nice and big and I felt pretty multifunctional however I felt it was expensive for cord and polyurethane materials, its £44.99.

I love a bit of leopard print and I love this bag from Boden. Animal print is a big trend this winter and I thought this would look pretty cool with my red duffle coat. The sticking point for me is its £79.99 price its a tiny bag and I need a huge one!
Finally I am quite drawn to this jacquard carpet bag from ASOS. I don't mind a bit of granny chic but I'm not sure if it may be a fleeting trend. Its £36.

I think my faves are the Ollie and Nic bags but I can't decide on the colour!

What do you think?

Bag Obsession!

It's about time I got myself a new handbag!

A huge trend for this season will be a satchel bag. I have always loved this style but never really seen one that I like so never committed to buying one. I will be buying one for sure this winter!

I want one with a handle on the top as I can't wear across the body for too long as they really hurt my shoulder! I definitely want a tan coloured one, it's my fave colour for a classic bag, and I think its nicer than black.

There are loads of great ones around in the shops. The ultimate satchel for me would be the stunning Mulberry Alexa, but at £650 its not an everyday purchase!

If I could I'd buy this bag without a second thought! I love Mulberry and I think this design will be a future classic just like their Bayswater bag, which I 'd love too!

The one I think I will go for is from Ollie & Nic

I love the colour and the style of the bag and its a fairly reasonable price at £90.
I've always wanted a bag that I could have forever that ages well but softens with age and looks weathered but stylish. I have a few Ollie and Nic bags and I used to buy their fabric bags a lot, they were a good price and quite unusual as they were not a well known brand. I think people are more aware of them but they are not everywhere. They have a few shops now up and down the country but they also have a website

There are loads of great tan coloured satchels around, here are a few more

I love bright coloured bags too and this one from ASOS caught my eye too,

I love the colour, how cool would it look with a black coat and boots! Its £70.

Do you like the style of these bags or are they a bit too school like for you?

xoxo
