Forgotten FOTD!

I was just flicking through the pictures on my camera and I came across some pictures from my work Christmas do! I did a quick FOTD on my way out, it was bit of a rush that night as I had been at work during the day and I rushed home to change and wash my hair and of course I ended up being late! 

I purchased the lipstick I'm wearing especially for the evening after a massive craving for a bright, matte red lipstick. Of course I popped along to my favourite of lipstick retailers, MAC! 

I originally wanted to get Lady Danger but I have asked for that for Christmas so I went with a MAC classic, Ruby Woo. After swatching all the red lipsticks in the place I plumped for Ruby Woo as it was the brightest and the MUA had a gorgeous bold matte red lip and I assumed it was this one!

I also purchased a lip liner, something I don't own and have never used before however after I once caught a horrifying reflection of myself once at work when my other red lippie, MAC's Cockney, had bled terribly I have avoided a red lip ever since. The liner that went the best was called Redd and I'm so glad I bought it!

Ruby Woo is a stunning colour however with all the eating and drinking I found it didn't have much staying power, just a couple of hours. I enjoyed wearing it although I have yet to reach for it again since this night out as I still feel very self conscious with a red lip, I feel like my lips are right "out there"!

I think I'm going to wear it for Christmas Day next!

In Neon - FOTD

Hiii!

*hangs head in bad blogger shame*

I've been a bit MIA in the blogging and YT community recently, I lost the will a bit but I've definitely got my blogging mojo back and I'd thought I'd start off with a face of the day so you can remember who I am!

So this was yesterdays "face" I went shopping in Cambridge with my Mum for a few Christmas presents we had a fab day and it wasn't nearly as busy as we were expecting, this is the before shot as after we were a little frazzled!

The point of this FOTD is to show of the amazing MAC Neon Orange lipstick, I absolutely adore this lipstick! I purchased it on a whim at Stansted on my way to France in October and I wear it whenever I can! I choose not to wear it for work as I like to keep a few of my lippies for days off, it keeps them a bit special! 

Despite the name its barely neon, it is bright however but not all crazy lips! I do like to apply it with a brush as it does just tone it down a little bit also the consistency of the lipstick itself is so soft it's much easier to use a brush.

I am so pleased I bought this lipstick it's in my top 10 lippies! Its a permanent colour so I shall certainly be repurchasing!

Full Speed Ahead!

The weather here in France is amazing! We have had three days of 25c and three or four more to come, incredible for this time of year. I am pretty far south so the weather is fairly good anyway but I'm in for a shock when I get home! 

The nice weather has given me a chance to wear some of my favourite summer items again! Hurrah!

I have got my black jersey H&M maxi out! I love this dress, so easy to wear and it looks great. I will defintely get more in other colours next year, hopefully a brown one! I always wear it with a belt, this tan one os also from H&M. My skull scarf is from Miss Selfridge and my cropped denim jacket is from Topshop, probably one of the best items of clothing I have ever purchased! I grimaced at pay £45 or so for it but I don't regret it one bit! It started off a bit chilly this morning so I needed the jacket but it has come off now! My trusty yellow Tabitha Saturn is the only bag I brought, well 15kg is not a lot to bring for 10 days so I chose my bag to go with everything!

I promised an FOTD with one of my new lippies, well here we are!

I chose to wear the Sheen Supreme lipstick in Full Speed. I bloomin' love it!

It's a bright coral pink and soooo super glossy. It has a slight frost to it and it reminds me of Made With Love mixed with a bit of Costa Chic. The lipstick itself is lovely to wear, soft and shiny, I love it. I'll certainly look at others in the range.

On a side note I've not painted my nails for days! I can't wait to do a proper manicure later! I guess I get a bit lazy with my make up on holiday anyway! Besides, it's only me and my mum here and we've been gardening the last couple of days!

Summer Smoky Eyes

I had a little play around with my new Bobbi Brown Tortoiseshell palette today, I'll admit the first time I used it I was a little disappointed, that's because I went straight for the gold colours which I normally favour. They left me a little flat and upset at my purchase.

Today I experimented with colour on my hand first and went for the darker shades in the palette, colours I don't have in my MAC palette.

I love this look!

I used Bronze on the inner corner and Copper Cocoa on the rest of the lid, then I tried a bit of Gold Nugget in the crease and centre and it lifted the look for a really bronzed summer eye. I then used MAC Fluidline in Dipdown, a brown liner, which I adore but mine is sooo dry I really must get a new one!

I finished off with MAC Dressmaker Dressmaker on my lips, and I can honestly say this is one of my favourite looks ever! I've felt quite glam, tanned and a bit sexy today! Unfortunately I was a bit all dressed up with nowhere to go but nevermind!

I'm writing this towards the end of the day and the shadows have lasted fantastically well on a hot stuffy day, I'm off to Zumba now so we'll see if they hold up during that!

FOTD featuring Candy Yum Yum!

I missed out on Candy Yum Yum a couple of months ago when it first came out with the Quite Cute collection, I just wasn't sure that I'd like it. When Kelly Osborne mentioned on Twitter that this was her new favourite lipstick and YouTubers and bloggers started to get excited, I started to want it!! Anyway a friend bought it and she didn't like it so we swapped, I had just bought Creme Cup and didn't like that either.

I wore it as soon as I got it and my BFF, gasped when he saw me wearing it and proclaimed "That's a bit bright isn't it?!" Perhaps it was little wild for work! 

I took it off and tried again at home, and it looked awful. So away it went as a lipstick that was collected but never worn.

Today I tried it again, 

LOVE IT!!!

I used a lip brush and applied a little bit of clear gloss over the top. The lipstick itself is quite matte so the gloss helps to soften the look but it stays bright. I love it for the summer, I still think it's too bright for work but will be fab for my holiday!

Love the skirt! I did my make up kind of Arabic I suppose with a smokey (for me!) eye and winged out eyeliner. I love this lipstick, I was a little unsure when I first bought it but it's perfect for the evening! I had to change the wedges as I've never really walked in them, I couldn't walk anywhere in them!! Glad I took some flat gold sandals just in case!! 

I used my scarf as a wrap in the end as it rained tonight and it was bloomin' freezing for an evening in June, even for the UK!

The Trilogy! OOTD, FOTD, NOTD!!

I've had a wonderful day today, the sun is shining, it's very warm and I think I may be wearing my favourite summer items today!!

I love everything I'm wearing today, clothes,  makeup and nail varnish so I thought I'd break the norm and bust out all three "OTD's"!

matches some of the flowers in the skirt.

♥ Skirt from Monsoon, I love this skirt now! When I first bought it I felt a bit "Granny" in it but it all depends what you wear it with! This is my maxi skirt for the summer as most maxi's are too long for me!

♥ Wedges from Monsoon, I love the espadrille wedge. I bought these about three years ago but have never worn them!

♥ Bag from Tabitha, the colour compliments all of the colours in my skirt and I love the studs against a feminine skirt.

♥ Jewellery from Etsy and bangle from John Lewis a couple of years ago.

I would also wear this with flat gold sandals as the wedges are a little high and not suitable for all terrains!!

I quite sure this will be my go to face for the summer! I picked up an awesome tip from BrushingOnBeauty last night, she said to put creme blush on top of foundation and under your powder. I tried it today and it gives a lovely glow and helps the blush last longer!

OPI Stranger Tides, I know you've seen this but I've worn this for a couple of days now and I love it!! I got lots of compliments at work which surprised me as I didn't think it would be a colour most people would like! I love how fresh the colour feels and it feels like it's a new shade in the colour palette for polish! It still feels feminine despite being a murky colour. Coincidentally this colour is in my skirt too!

In a not normally seen toes of the day, I painted on my favourite summer colour, China Glaze For Audrey, I adore the colour with tan and it's yet another colour in my skirt!!

Well there we go an unnecessarily in depth look at what I'm wearing today! I have thoroughly enjoyed it and will be reaching for this combo again!

FOTD and OOTD!!

I had a really late morning today, well you could say I didn't see the morning at all today! So I decided to play about with some make-up and remembered that I have yet to wear my newest MAC Fluidline, Siahi.

Released with the Mickey Contractor collection in January this eyeliner sold out very quickly and its easy to see why! It's a gorgeous teal blue.
